This position is part of a corporate accounting team responsible for the company-wide management of accounting and treasury matters for CHG Healthcare Services, Inc.  Specific responsibilities include the monthly detailed preparation of certain balance sheet account reconciliations while performing analysis to ensure balances are properly stated, providing support for the annual financial statement audit with the external auditors, keeping informed of accounting issues and any new accounting standards that may impact the company and adherence to the company mission and values.

  • Perform accounting on Software Development initiatives and CHG Capital projects as well as monthly close processes related to capital projects. 
  • Actively participate in the monthly close process by preparing and recording journal entries into the accounting system  
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts primarily for cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and prepaids, while identifying, researching and resolving any account discrepancies in a timely manner. 
  • Assist in providing support for the annual financial statement audit with external auditors 
  • Keep abreast of new accounting issues and standards and consider their impact on the business 
  • Be a resource and interact with other business partner teams to answer questions and continuously seek improvement to existing accounting processes and procedures 
  • Perform other accounting, financial and administrative tasks as assigned  

  • General understanding of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles 
  • Detail oriented, organized, proactive, able to prioritize and efficiently fulfill responsibilities 
  • Team player who maintains effective working relationships with others while fostering and exhibiting an attitude of ownership and accountability 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to set own direction and manage time effectively  
  • Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Excel including using vlookups, pivot tables and formulas 

 

Education & Experience

  • 2+ year(s) accounting experience specifically related to general ledger account reconciliations 
  • 1+ year(s) accounting for internal software development costs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance 

 

Preferred

  • Experience using Wokday Business Assets and Capital Projects.
  • Experience with JD Edwards, Navision, Quickbooksand OneStream. 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
