Marketing Automation Specialist (Marketo)

The Marketing Automation Specialist will manage tactical initiatives related to Marketo administration, CRM lead management, and reporting.

The specialist will support the execution of email marketing campaigns, lead generation and handoff processes, data/analytics reporting, and marketing data maintenance and manipulation through our existing CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) and Marketing Automation Platform (Marketo).

This is a mid-level role - we need a collaborative superstar who is hands-on to drive excellence and help us increase the sophistication of our marketing automation utilization. Marketo Ownership (Management and Implementation)
  • Execution of email marketing, ABM, multi-touch attribution, lead lifecycle and data segmentation, and database growth and health initiatives.
  • Support marketing initiatives through marketing automation and reporting on program performance (email engagement, new leads, pipeline and revenue generated/influenced).
  • Develop marketing automation programs including emails, nurture campaigns, landing pages, webinars and events.
  • Own marketing automation processes, proactively researching and implementing the latest best practices, strategies, and industry standards.
  • Build documentation for testing processes and plans and manage execution for these plans.
  • Conduct A/B testing, assist in identifying segmentation strategies and lead continuous optimization of our instance and approach.
  • Implement, optimize, and document marketing campaigns, assets, system integrations, and lead scoring models.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to execute on and optimize complex email marketing automation programs with a focus on engagement, nurturing, and lead generation
  • Manage integrations including Dynamics CRM, GoToWebinar, Zapier, etc.
  • Assist Digital Marketing Manager in managing compliance (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CCPA, CDPA, etc.), preferences, and opt-outs
  • Collaborate with Marketo vendors/support staff as needed.
Lead Generation / Sales Support
  • Understand the framework of campaigns, lead routing, list uploads, integrations/webhooks, and data management between sales and marketing systems.
  • Assist Digital Marketing Manager in the management and optimization of our lead scoring model.
  • Ensure leads are tracked, routed correctly, and attributed to the correct multi-channel campaigns.
  • Oversee inbound inquiry routing and Marketo form creation and assist CRM admin in ensuring seamless integration between Marketo and Dynamics CRM for inbound leads to reach the sales team.
  • Support essential marketing operations initiatives in Marketo and the CRM, such as managing the lead lifecycle, lead scoring, lead nurturing, segmentation and data cleansing.
  • Manage the process for MQL management and lead follow up. Assist Digital Marketing Manager in the creation of communication and training of process to all Centric leadership, BD support teams and sales personnel.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to build programs that support sales enablement, including account-based marketing (ABM).
Reporting and Analytics
  • Support digital marketing team in compiling data for monthly and end-of-year National Marketing reports.
  • Develop and update reporting dashboards to identify trends and optimization opportunities.
  • Assist in the implementation and management of lead lifecycle reporting.
  • Work with stakeholders to track KPIs, analyze campaign performance, and provide recommendations to improve campaigns continuously.
  • Provide ongoing metrics in support of marketing campaign effectiveness, regularly update performance and test reports, and other analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of equivalent marketing automation / Marketo experience required. Experience needs to include:
  • Understanding of Marketo-specific capabilities required (tokens, munchkin code, etc.)
  • End-to-end email execution (execution, optimization, and reporting)
  • Previous management of a Marketo instance.
  • Experience with CRM, specifically Microsoft Dynamics, strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree Marketing, Communications, or related field

Professional Certifications:

  • Adobe Certified Professional – Marketo Engage Business Practitioner Certification

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise with Marketo required
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other customer relationship management (CRM) system
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting campaign performance and ROI
  • Intermediate knowledge of HTML/CSS
