Your profile: Business Developer (Asset & Energy Management)
A minimum of 8 years of experience, including 5 years of professional experience in the power sector, preferably at a consulting firm, ISO/RTO market operator, merchant power producer, energy trading firm, asset management firm or other energy market participant. Candidates with more than 10 years of experience may be considered for a level 5b position.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred.
Demonstrated experience in originating market opportunities around commercial asset management and structuring new business models such as Energy-as-a-Service.
Experience in development of power assets through financial close (FID) a plus.
A high degree of comfort dealing with commercial operations in the realm of power generation and fundamental understanding how plants capture intrinsic and extrinsic value.
Deep knowledge of commercial asset management on topics ranging from Gross Margin optimization, hedging strategy, daily bid optimization and risk-management.
Familiarity with the fundamentals of energy policy and markets, grid planning and electricity models.
You are a self-starter, process- and results-oriented person, can think out of the box, and are looking to apply your experience to help scale a growing initiative.

Your responsibilities
Responsible for business development activities including strategic analysis, identifying value, originating opportunities, client meeting/presentations and proposing commercial business models.
Stay abreast of market developments and provide fundamental analysis, insights and perspectives on electricity markets as they affect both utility-scale and distributed resources.
Perform advanced quantitative and economic analysis of project specific opportunities keeping in mind the forecast of future electric power market prices, power asset operations and valuation, fuel consumption, environmental emissions, regulatory compliance, transmission, policy & market design changes, among other parameters.
Support the Total Asset Management team with domain know-how in sharpening the value proposition for service-solution offerings, devising creative commercial structures (risk-sharing), and generating key business opportunities.
Apply an expert understanding of Siemens Energy’s portfolio of technologies to provide the optimal service + financing solution for a given project
