ABOUT BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION - TRANSACTION SERVICES:

We advise corporate and financial clients across the deal life cycle, bringing deep deal experience coupled with on-point industry experts to structure, conduct due diligence, integrate, value and communicate around the transaction. About the Opportunity:

Our clients are either large Retail and Consumer Products companies or the leading Private Equity and Hedge Funds in the United States and globally. This role assists our clients in:

  • Identifying and realizing cost savings across the G&A platform either for companies interested in improving their own financial performance or as part of deal diligence or value capture across the transaction lifecycle

  • Optimizing the sales function to improve performance - enabling sales growth or improving productivity

  • Leading broad cross-functional teams or acting as the PMO for a broad range of strategic initiatives

    The role of the SG&A Platform Senior Director in our growing Retail & Consumer Group is to combine industry experience with cross-functional expertise to help identify, quantify and deliver across a broad set of initiatives.

    Primary Duties:

  • Recommending and defending recommendations for new organization structure across all sales and corporate functional areas

  • Partnering with clients to transition from existing to future organization structure

  • Drafting new process architecture and identifying systems and capabilities required to successfully operate in the future state

  • Managing change and communications during the transition

  • Recommending and defending recommendations for cost reductions across sales and corporate expense categories and capital spending

  • Partnering with client and consulting teams to negotiate new contacts, select new vendors and realize cost savings

  • Identifying customer segment opportunities and creating new treatment strategies

  • Acting as the PMO for large change initiatives

  • Managing and tracking results



    Basic Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Economics is preferred. MBA is desired.

  • 8 years of consulting experience focused on the SG&A platform in retail and consumer products companies OR

  • 3 years of FP&A (or related) industry experience in retail and consumer products companies and a minimum of 5 years of consulting experience

  • Ability to travel up to 80%.

    Preferred Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge and application of operational benchmarks - organization and expense

  • Expert knowledge of organizational design principles and analytics

  • Excellent analytical skills including use of Excel and other toolsets

  • Thorough knowledge of two or more of the following functional areas: Information Technology, Merchandising and Planning, Human Resources, Finance, Operations / Supply Chain, Sales, and/or Marketing

  • Strong project management skills

  • Outstanding listening, verbal and written communication skills

  • Expertise with developing and creating PowerPoint presentations
