We are seeking a top performing Sales Operations manager who is passionate about combining strategic planning, analytical acumen, and tactical execution to maximize the effectiveness of our Advertising Sales team.This role is a trusted advisor to the Regional Vice President of Sales and will need to understand all aspects of their business, including the industry and competitive landscape in their region, the playbook for winning market and mindshare, and the resources to drive this plan. This role enables Sales with programs, tools, processes, and insights as a competitive differentiator and driver of growth.  

This role will deliver a balance of leading, doing, and influencing, in close partnership with Sales, Operations, and Marketing teams. Being a hub between these functions offers a unique position from which to drive thought-leadership, connection, and executional excellence to our key stakeholders. Sales Operations Managers are adaptive, balance big-picture thinking with a keen eye for details, are energized by inclusive collaboration, and continually raise the bar with world-class operational excellence.

  • Accelerating business performance with analytical insights: Contribute to regular business reviews in partnership with the aligned Sales leader, including measurement of Sales performance and delivery of rich insights that highlight best practices, risks, and recommendations for strategy refinement.  
  • Developing business strategy: Partner with aligned Sales leaders to develop and implement fiscal year strategy, including running the core business, ideating on growth initiatives, and identifying automation/scale opportunities, in close collaboration with partner teams. 
  • Driving operational execution: Plan semi-annual refresh of customer assignments to sellers and corresponding revenue responsibility, focusing on equitable distribution, and regional/vertical/organizational nuances. Communicate timely and clear updates of planning activities with critical stakeholders. Orchestrate customer/portfolio planning and develop sales execution programs to capitalize on identified opportunities. 
  • Fostering rigorous data governance: Enable consistent and precise customer segmentation, change management, and compensation accuracy by ensuring high-fidelity of data in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and other transactional systems. Flag inconsistencies using appropriate channels and own issue resolution.  
  • Enabling scale and efficiency via tools: Ensure the Sales team leverages the processes and tools developed for a scaled Advertising Sales motion, by driving awareness and consumption of enablement materials. Collate and deliver Sales feedback to partner teams on processes, tools, and training requirements. Leverage, and provide input into development of reporting capabilities accessible to peers and sales leaders.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a combination of Operations, Analytics, Sales, or Finance functions 
  • Strong understanding of the online advertising ecosystem in Japan and the APAC region more broadly 
  • Program or project management expertise across a matrixed, global stakeholder set 
  • Development of Sales incentive and/or performance acceleration programs with measurable KPI uplift  
  • Data visualization and storytelling to deliver persuasive presentations that influence varying audience levels 
  • Strategic business planning (e.g., competitive analysis, resource modeling, role and service level definition) 
  • Tool and/or process delivery, training, scaling, and feedback collection 
  • Driving large-scale change management initiatives with limited disruption to core business outcomes 
  • Degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent relevant professional experience
