We are looking for Cybersecurity Tools Developer to help us integrate and implement security tools with a strong focus on scripting to automate processes, integrate network and security systems and develop tools to further the mission of the team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, articulate, and intimately familiar with the various operating systems and programming languages to perform cross-functional duties as necessary, have a proven history of creating tools and automating routing IT/Business tasks. We've already invested in automating many parts of our service monitors and systems, but we're looking for you to helpus make them even better. We're looking to improve our processes so our engineering security ad operations teams can work smarter and faster.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Implement new tools to integrate security solutions with operational processes
  • Leverage scripting skills to develop tools for the automation of security processes using Python, PERL, Bash, and PowerShell
  • Work with a wide variety of security devices, both network and system based as needed
  • Participate in internal projects and initiatives, researching and recommending appropriate security solutions
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support/maintain/design backend applications and other operational platforms
  • Perform System Administration of our Linux environment and troubleshoot service level issues

Required Technical Knowledge:

  • A proficiency with scripting or programming is a must
  • Strong understanding PowerShell, PERL, PHP, and Python
  • In depth knowledge of Windows and Linux/Unix, including applicable security principals
  • Experience hardening Linux and other operating systems
  • A Strong understanding of networking and relevant protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, and DNS

Preferred Technical Knowledge:

  • Experience with firewalls, VPN's, IDS, or other commercial network security solutions
  • Experience with logging and monitoring tools (Solarwinds, Splunk, ArcSight, Nagios)
  • Experience with network sniffers (tcpdump, wireshark)
  • Experience with threat vulnerability assessment tools
  • Experience working with SQL (MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Hadoop) databases
  • Working knowledge of the OSI model, dynamic routing protocols, and IP subnetting including CIDR notation
  • Security certifications such as CISSP or GIAC a plus

Additional skills that are a plus:

  • X86 assembly language and the use of debuggers like Olly DB or IDA Pro
  • Disk and memory forensic analysis using tools such as EnCase, FTK, Volatility and Responder Pro
  • Experience creating and maintaining network and/or host-based signatures to detect malware using Yara, ClamAV, and Snort
  • Analysis of malicious email attachments and web pages, including browser scripts written in JavaScript and VBScript
  • Data interexchange formats such as XML, JSON, STIX and Taxi

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience in information security, network/system administration and scripting/programming and Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Equivalent discipline
  • Must be willing to periodically work non-standard hours and be on call
  • Must be able to attain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
  • US Citizenship required
