We are currently seeking a Business Intelligence and Analytics Developer :
The Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics Developer will be tasked with transforming disconnected data into actionable information. Growing the analytics capability is an essential deliverable to compete in the competitive defense industry. This position provides an opportunity to work in a highly technical environment where mission critical land, sea, and space sensors and electronics are designed and built. Reporting to the Director of IT, this position will be a member of small group that will perform highly visible and impactful work.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities Required: • Designing and implementing data integration from multiple systems resulting in advanced analytic capabilities • Writing relational and multidimensional database SQL queries • Developing automated tools and dashboards using ASP.Net or other development tools to provide actionable information to decision makers. • Develop data mart to enable user empowerment via tools such as Power Bi or Tableau. • Develop regression algorithms using python or other tools to present correlated data, and predictive analysis. • Work with local stakeholders and resources as well as corporate BI team. • Use advanced statistical concepts to determine significant sources of process or business function variability Key Characteristics: • Strong business analysis and development capabilities. Need to be able to take informal requirements to an Agile deliverable with minimal oversight. • Excellent presentation skills (verbal and written), Strong understanding of analytic/statistical concepts with the ability to explain them to others • Prefers collaborative environment, and likes to go fast. • Expects to deliver quality work on aggressive timeline.
Qualifications / Requirements: • 5 plus years working experience as a BI Developer / Analyst • Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining • Understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework • Experience with BI visualization tools and technologies (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, etc..) • Knowledge and experience writing, editing, and working with SQL queries and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio • Experience developing dashboards and other tools using the .Net stack. BS/BA in Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
