We are looking for a talented Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team at the Cummins Technical Center in Columbus, IN with starting pay of $30.00 -$34.00/hour.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Operates, calibrates, installs, programs, repairs, designs, and fabricates instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
  • Installs, operates, modifies, and troubleshoots PCs and PC networks used for instrumentation engineering activities.
  • Installs and calibrates strain gauges and thermocouples (micro) onto components for testing
  • Uses of a number of general tools including but not limited to digital multimeter, soldering iron, function generator, and oscilloscope.
  • Reads and interprets electronic wiring diagrams.
  • Interfaces with customers, suppliers, engineers, and other functions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and safety verification for component test system instrumentation equipment.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required with Department of Labor Certification OR
Associates degree from an accredited program in a related field and at least two years of relevant experience OR
Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR
Relevant military education and experience.

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
