50 years ago today, Title IX passed. Among its accomplishments, the U.S. federal civil rights law helped remove barriers for girls and women at all levels of sport.
“Growing up in the city of Chicago, sports have always been such a big part of my life. Playing soccer in college was one of my most rewarding experiences. It prepared me to work alongside and serve athletes as I transitioned into my career at Nike,” says Jennifer Thomas, Director of Store Experience, Marketplace Operations.
Jennifer helps lead community efforts for the Women of Nike & Friends employee network, which is hosting events throughout the summer to celebrate the anniversary, continue the conversation of gender equity, and help lead the next 50 years for women in sport around the world.
