Quality Assurance - Power Systems, Cummins Inc.

I am a Customer Quality Engineering Intern at Cummins Ltd in the Power Systems Business Unit. My work involves managing portions of well-defined and challenging projects simultaneously, actively supporting customer engine’s failure investigations. I study BSc Geophysics at the University of Leeds where I use the manipulation of specialist software for the processing and interpretation of geophysical data. My background in problem solving involves effectively applying knowledge and understanding to address both familiar and unfamiliar obstacles. I have experience in both data analysis and coding; utilising Python to proficiently carry out statistical analysis. I am proactive in my approach; I am gaining certification as a Supply Chain Professional and an advanced Python Programmer. I am an advocate for women and LGBTQ+ in STEM. My involvement at Cummins goes beyond my role, I am a proud participant of European Pride, Women Empowerment Network, and the Diversity and Inclusion Team. These communities have linked me with opportunities to represent Cummins at a Diversity & Inclusion Panel with other engineering giants and to support a Girls in Business project. I am a member of The British Interplanetary Society; I love everything space and working towards obtaining fellowship at The Royal Astronomical Society. Society of Women Engineers is another membership I hold, it is the world’s largest advocate and catalyst for change for women in engineering and technology. Becoming BSL certified and learning a language are two personal projects I am currently working on, as well as regularly signing up to attend virtual events held by world-leading organisations such as CERN and NASA.
