About Zaid Zaid “I have nearly 20 years of experience in tech, law, policy, diplomacy, foreign affairs, national security, and international development, where I have worked closely with numerous high-level government and private sector officials. In addition to having served as Special Assistant to the President and Associate Counsel to the President at the Obama White House, I also worked in government at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and as a Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Department of State. I also worked at a major law firm, WilmerHale, for four years. As a diplomat, I served in various countries in the Middle East, as well as at the United Nations. As a Senior Associate at WilmerHale, I traveled extensively to London, Geneva, Hong Kong, and Singapore for a client. In government service and private practice, I have sharpened my skills identifying and analyzing different aspects of political and economic events in the U.S. and around the world."
