As an NPI (New Product Introduction) Operations Program Manager you are responsible for analyzing, planning and coordinating material purchases for development builds to support the new product introduction schedule and the engineering and supply chain organization. We are looking for someone who is pro-active, team oriented, understands hardware engineering practices and engages enthusiastically in the problem-solving process and exhibits strong follow through.

As the PAX NPI Operations Program Manager, you will:

  • Be responsible for supporting development builds with engineering program management and scheduling at manufacturing partners. Creation of planning and NPI bill of materials as required in Arena.
  • Coordinate schedule conflicts, formulate recovery schedules, identify impediments to successful builds (missing released drawings, etc.)
  • Be accountable for directing, controlling and coordinating product ordering and manufacturing order releasing
  • Analyze the NPI schedule and component development readiness to initiate actions
  • Track shortages and work with supply chain, manufacturing partners and Asia team on ensuring stock is available for build schedule
  • Verify documentation and revision levels with engineering prior to order release
  • Interact regularly with design engineering, project management, supply chain and manufacturing partners to ensure timely and accurate coordination of materials and resources to meet the NPI build schedule
  • Issue all purchase orders to manufacturing partners and confirm the timely preparation of material through the manufacturing process
  • Resolve, within scope of authority, accounts payable or supplier payment problems, informational requirements, payables or credit status communications issues, or other procurement related issues
  • Liaise between engineering & supply chain to ensure timely and accurate NPI plan execution
  • Make accurate commits and meets on time shipment goals


  • 5+ years NPI planning and buying experience in an outsourced manufacturing environment
  • Product knowledge, understanding of NPI & document control process and scheduling techniques
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and Arena skills
  • Solid organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • The ability to communicate effectively across PAX teams, manufacturing partners, and Asia team
  • World-class customer service skills
  • Exceptional mathematical skills
  • Strong analytical, time management and follow up skills
  • Prior startup experience preferred


  • College degree or equivalent work experience
