    As part of Data Solutions organization, our vision is to create a scalable, innovative platform to support Freddie Mac single family Data. Our team is responsible for supporting Single-Family Data migrations and provide data to consumers to improve operational efficiencies and provide better business value and faster time to market. We are also leading the change to build several data solutions using our Cloud Native Data Lake platform that enable consolidating, centralizing and consuming shared data for the enterprise to serve various data analytics and reporting needs.

    Your Impact:

    • Lead a Scaled Agile Product Team working on Enterprise Data Lake improving Big Data and cloud native data technology stack.

    • Work with different partners to understand and solve complex business problems and drive solutions into manageable partitions of work that become results for your team.

    • Influencing, communicating, designing and driving vision.

    • Lead technical discussions and work and influence many multi-functional teams

    • Act as an agent for change regarding the new technologies and tools, promote top code quality by leading design and code reviews, and solve complex issues related to performance tuning and scalability.

    • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with various teams, both business and technical, to achieve goals.

    • Follow established methodology and controls guidelines.

    • Demonstrate your leadership, coaching and mentoring skills to help developing impactful teams.

    • Developing individual growth at the company by leading other developers to help them improve as contributors while they progress throughout their career.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience; advanced studies/degree preferred.

    • 10-12 years of experience engineering building complex data applications using big data and cloud native data technologies. Big Data and distributed programming models and technologies and techniques such as Hadoop, Spark, Map Reduce, Sqoop, Hive, Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), Distributed Indexing and Databases (HBase, Hive, Cassandra, Vertica), Serialization Formats (JSON, Avro, Parquet), PySpark, Spark, Scala, Hive Tuning, Bucketing, Partitioning.

    • Knowledge of database structures, theories, principles, and practices (both SQL and NoSQL).

    • Experience working with different AWS/cloud native technologies like S3, EMR, RDS, Redshift, EC2, Lambda, Step function and cloud formation templates.

    • Experience on data lakes, datahub implementation.

    • Experience and knowledge working in Kafka, Spark streaming, Sqoop, Oozie, Airflow, Control-M.

    • Experience with Shell Scripting.

    • Well versed with Information and application security including LDAP, certificates, public key encryption, SSH, access credentials, etc.

    • 2 or more years of experience working in Agile, Lean/Kanban, or Scaled Agile organization.

    • Knowledge or experience in Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.

    • Ability to independently perform all duties from analysis to deployment to post production defect fixing.

    • Experience of leading complex data applications development with large volumes of data

    • Any Big Data Certification is plus.

    • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience is plus.
