L3 Technologies SAP Center of Excellence (COE) is looking for an experienced SAP Technical Integration Manager to oversee all new SAP implementations, migrations, upgrades and various other 3 rd party SAP products that are interfaced into the L3 SAP ecosystems.
The SAP Technical Integration Manager is responsible for coordinating and directing teams of SAP COE Business Systems Analysts, Developers and contractors in all phases of systems implementations, upgrades or migrations including:
Analysis and Design
Integration into COE Support
The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate ability and willingness to investigate, diagnose and solve complex SAP problems quickly. In addition, the candidate should be able to learn highly customized SAP implementations and understand when standard SAP should be used.
The SAP Technical Integration Manager should have strong leadership skills and will have a proven record of accomplishment as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ability to collaborate with others and coordinate matrixed people to accomplish project goals is of utmost importance.
The candidate will also need to demonstrate a very deep SAP skill set that is balanced between interpersonal and technical capabilities. He/she will have an ability to operate independently based on project priorities and guide teams during all phases of SAP projects. Therefore managing multiple tasks with tight timeframes while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail will be required.
The ideal candidate would have experience with SAP R/3 ECC 6.0, Suite On HANA or S/4 HANA implementations, migrations and upgrades. Experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry is helpful but not required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide SAP functional and technical oversight on multiple large SAP projects, upgrades and migrations in the areas of: analysis and design, configuration, development, documentation, testing and support activities.
Assist the Project Manager(s) as needed during the various project lifecycles.
Investigate, diagnose and solve complex SAP project problems quickly.
Partner with the SAP COE Leadership Team to motivate, mentor, and manage matrixed SAP COE resources on various projects.
Ability to work with and leverage external contractors or System Integrators on various initiatives/projects.
Identify areas of process improvement and integration. Ensure new SAP landscapes and solutions are designed and architected to ensure cost effective, scalable, and best in class solution delivery to all users.
Work with COE Leadership on the SAP Strategic roadmap, project execution, vendor management, solution architecture and successful launch of new solutions and related applications.
This position requires a BS degree in either Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or other related field. MBA or advanced degree beneficial.
8-10+ years of SAP implementation, upgrade and migration experience in a manufacturing or project based environment.
Proven track record and strong program management, delivery, implementation, skills
Minimum of 3 end-to-end SAP implementations as Project or Program Manager or Technical Architect with deep understanding of best practices.
Knowledge of SOH or S/4 HANA Implementations will be a significant advantage.
Experience with ITIL, RunSAP, ACTIVATE, ASAP and similar methodologies
Experience in designing, implementing, building, testing and deploying complex business processes in an SAP environment.
Strong analytical, data processing and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated experience leading/championing process improvement projects to drive productivity.
Business process knowledge in areas such as: order-to-cash, plan-to-produce and purchase-to-pay.
Technology visionary/leader with a strong understanding of cloud computing and hosting services.
Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate effectively with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior management
Demonstrated leadership skills, including organization development, coaching and mentoring skills, influencing others and negotiating skills
Capable of managing matrixed resources in a COE environment.This position can be based in our Rockwall, TX or Salt Lake City, UT offices. Additionally this position will require 50%-60% domestic and international travel at times.
