Job Description

New York, NY

Conde Nast is a global media company that produces some of the world’s leading print, digital, video, and social brands. These titles, which include Vogue, GQ, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, and Wired among others, inform audiences in new and compelling ways by creating beautiful, visually arresting moments that offer new perspectives, and new forms of self-expression.

The Global Product and Technology group is responsible for the core web and mobile applications that connect individual readers to our content across multiple distribution channels. We’re looking for an outcome-oriented product manager to support the organization by expanding and refining the way we build functionality, the tools we use, and how we measure success.

As a Product Manager for the application platform you will be responsible for building features that make the portfolio of brands more popular and successful. This may include everything from launching new content types and intelligent recirculation modules to experimentation interfaces and regression testing.

You will:

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, user researchers, analysts, and editorial partners to prioritize the most impactful features.

  • Define, monitor, and analyze performance metrics, and communicate them to stakeholders.

  • Champion the user experience without compromising key business drivers.

  • Meet regularly with stakeholders across the business, solicit feedback, and build consensus.

  • Work directly with internal engineering teams, as well as with partner teams who are your customers as well.

  • Create and communicate your priorities and roadmap across the organization.

You should apply if:

You have proven product development experience that includes requirements writing, prioritization, and the ability to properly size a project, as well as a keen sense of design aesthetics. Curious and open-minded thinkers who embrace change will thrive in this role. You will need to be as comfortable working vertically into the technical stack as you are at communicating goals horizontally, and engaging other teams in your success. A passion for the media brands at the heart of this business is fundamental to the position.

Minimum qualifications:

  • 3 years or more working in product management

  • Experience working with engineering and design teams using Agile or similar techniques

  • BA/BS or related training

  • Nice to have: experience working with component libraries, token-based design systems, and experimentation platform.
