The Microsoft Support Engineering Group (MSEG) is a key organization within the Universal Store Team. MSEG is chartered with re-imagining and transforming the way Microsoft supports its customers in a Cloud-first and Mobile-first world. Our goal is to provide the best support experience for Microsoft customers. If you ever contacted Microsoft support, by chat or by phone, for Xbox, Surface, Windows, Store or Office issues, the agent on the other side would have used the tools and experiences built by our team to help solve your problem. In addition to Consumer support, Commercial support engineers that work on tight SLAs to support high-value enterprise customers also depend on our tools to manage and resolve cases. We are rewriting myriad disjoint tools into a new cohesive experience. Our user experiences are built on angular and our singular goal is to improve customer and agent satisfaction through innovation.
We are looking for a senior engineer who has technical depth in building scalable services, and a passion for making Microsoft’s Customer Support the best in class. Successful candidates will demonstrate proven strengths in technical innovation, technical design and architecture, cross-group collaboration, shipping complex products/services, Engineering Excellence and team leadership. Team will develop core components of a high performance, responsive and highly resilient SPA web app powered by a set of high-scale services with global footprint.
· 5+ years of experience developing software
· Understand the challenges of shipping front end experiences that are focused on customer productivity and learning.
· Keen sense of customer focus, with an emphasis on listening to customer feedback and reacting to it.
· Embrace data-driven approach to improving customer satisfaction by focusing on innovation.
· Experience leading v-teams to ship a project.
· Penchant for continuously improving engineering practices.
