You will be joining Power BI Analysis Services team. Our team owns the Analysis Services engine as the core backend technology of Power BI, as well as its integration with Power BI services and Excel. We work on technologies driving new features in a variety of products from Power BI, to SQL Analysis Services and Azure Analysis Services, to Excel.
Our team is very agile, you will have chances to work on multiple components in a big system and take on different responsibilities. We are looking for passionate developers with well-rounded experiences working with high throughput and highly scalable services, ability to design components carefully to handle errors of different types, write clean and well-factored code with good tests and good maintainability and an ability to program proficiently in C#.
You must be a self-motivated, fast learner; enjoy working in a team of talented engineers; be passionate about quality and engineering excellence. The right candidate should also care deeply about delighting the customer and iteratively improving all aspects of that experience. Strong level 60 engineers are encouraged to apply as well.
2+ years of experience in database engine or online distributed services such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
Passion for building highly performant scalable services
Outstanding technical problem solving and debugging skills
Passion for quality with experience designing and implementing automated tests, including unit tests and integration tests
Effective communication skills
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
