We are looking for a passionate Senior Software Engineer well-versed with audio, digital signal processing, and spatial sound to join our dynamic, tightly-knit team to be a key contributor as we realize our ambitious plans.
Joining the Mixed Reality Studio, you will be customer-obsessed just like we are. As a Senior Software Engineer on the team, you will be responsible for building systems and components that are tight, performant, exciting pieces of an overall audio offering for Mixed Reality. You will also work on devices large and small, harnessing the network powers of the intelligent cloud as well as the immediate and efficient benefits of running code on the intelligent edge.

You will design, evangelize, develop, deliver, and support components that capture audio as well as render audio byte streams, employing DSP techniques to transform audio for information extraction as well as to synthesize audio. You also will be central in contributing to the emerging field of audio in Mixed Reality, helping power the audio experiences necessary for the exciting devices, experiences, and software of tomorrow.
You have 5+ years software engineering in C, C++, C#, or related language
You have 3+ years developing digital signal processing or audio engine software
You have a solid working knowledge of digital audio production techniques
You want to work with a highly capable, cross-discipline team
You embrace the innovation mindset and love learning from successes and failures
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
You have worked with 3D/spatial audio in the past and have used techniques like head-related transfer functions
You have built software which includes an interactive audio engine
You enjoy reading academic literature from AES, ICASSP, ISMIR, IEEE, etc.
You understand how to build systems for audio and other multimedia in gaming
