Intuit’s QuickBooks, Small Business Group division is seeking a well-rounded Senior Content Strategy Manager to join Intuit’s Boise-based team to manage the content team and drive the content strategy.

You will be working on a world-class marketing team to ensure the success of our current and future content and marketing strategies.

 

Reporting to the Director of Brand and Communications, you will work closely with the Editor in Chief and Content Marketing Lead to set the content strategy as part of the leadership team for the TSheets/Boise site marketing department.

 

In this role, you’ll work closely with heads of internal and external communications to ensure cross-publication message alignment, guide strategic content decisions on digital platforms, and apply analytics to measure impact of content and inform decision making.

 

The Senior Content Strategy Manager must be an experienced content manager able to work with creative teams and individual writers to execute quickly, manage time well, and solve problems creatively. The Senior Content Strategy Manager will also manage a team of copywriters and editors, as well as the Editor in Chief.

Responsibilities
  • Work with TSheets, QuickBooks, and Intuit content teams to develop an effective and innovative content strategy 1, 3, and 5 years out based on customer insights, product/company roadmap, brand initiatives, core strategy, etc.
  • Work with TSheets and QuickBooks leaders to define a content strategy that fulfills the company’s goals and objectives across all channels and performs against all benchmarks
  • Connect and collaborate with greater Intuit organization to pave the way for the Boise site content team and strategize about positioning the team into the future structure of the org.
  • Track and use data to measure and improve effectiveness of content, and report regularly at Intuit’s Boise site leadership meetings (marketing team, executive team, etc.)
  • Lead the growing Boise site content team including an Editor in Chief, copy editor, and 5+ copywriters (scheduling monthly check-ins, conducting year-end reviews, and serving as the content team ambassador in all aspects)
  • Mentor and provide content strategy and process development support to Editor in Chief
  • Participate in Boise site leadership team meetings and serve as hiring manager for the content team

 

Qualifications

 

  • 7+ years experience working with content teams and developing winning content strategies
  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Digital Content, Communications, or a related field
  • Demonstrated success with defining, implementing, and optimizing a content strategy
  • Strong knowledge of creating and developing content optimized for SEO and conversion
  • Serious passion for content marketing and working with experienced content creators
  • Strong leader with proven ability to lead highly functional teams — and have fun doing it!
  • Experience with deep cross-functional collaboration across a wide array of functions with a natural ability to collaborate well with others and thrive when a part of a team
  • Systems thinker with strong project management skills and familiarity with project tracking tools and approaches
  • An exceptional portfolio of work showcasing long form storytelling, brand expression, digital innovation, and connection to and understanding of our mission and audience
