Job Purpose (Job Summary): The QA Architect isresponsible for developing processes and tools to enable the QA Center ofexcellence and supports the Engineering Goal of establishing a centralized QATesting effort at Invesco


Key Responsibilities /Duties:

  • Define architecture, design and implementationof the QA Automation and Performance framework
  • Help create and maintain an automated andmanual testing infrastructure, consistent with established standards,methodologies and best practices.
  • Recommend and support the development oftesting environments, appropriate to the needs required for testing.
  • Recommend strategies and methods for creatingand managing test data, including the obfuscation of data, when required.
  • Drive the architecture and implementation of anautomated testing process to support CI/CD, TDD and BDD environments.
  • Lead a team of QA Automation Analysts to ensurequality and performance into the development process.
  • Provide management and governance around acomprehensive end to end test approach strategy.
  • Establish metrics to measure the quality oftesting practices

Work Experience / Knowledge: 
  • 8+ years directly related work experiencein Quality Assurance and Software Testing within the Investment Management and/orthe Mutual Fund Industry.  Knowledge of Automation frameworks, TDD andBDD preferred.
  • Experiencewith Java scripting and Selenium frameworks 
  • 8+ years years managing a software testing team
  • Experiencedeveloping architectures, and automation strategies
  • Experienceleading & mentoring a team through effective delegation, training &conflict management
  • Strongcommunication skills and ability to work in a diverse team with offshoreresources
  • Softwaredevelopment skills desired
  • Pythonscripting skills desired
  • ProjectManagement skills desired

Formal Education: 
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and/orequivalent work experience.
Working Conditions: 
  • Normal officeenvironment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures. 
  • The ability tolift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is alsonecessary. 
  • Normally worksa regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the projector assignment. 
  • Hours mayinclude evenings and/or weekends and may include 24 hour a day on call supportby pager and/or cell phone.
