You are:
As a Database Administrator at Pitney Bowes, you thrive on supporting databases for revenue generating enterprise and customer facing applications. You are a Loyal individual who must be willing to take on-call support and off business hours and weekends support.

You will:
• Perform daily MSSQL, Snowflake and Mongo database administration tasks including monitoring, troubleshooting, and remediation activities
• Plan and implement ongoing monthly and quarterly maintenance activities including patching cycles, upgrade cycles, security and auditing cycles
• Application deployments on multi sites and work closely with development team for quick turn around
• Provide innovative leadership for ongoing daily and monthly activities including database maintenance, performance tuning, parameter tuning
• Working knowledge on SSIS and SSRS
• Maintaining and contributing to internal team-knowledge documents/runbooks and SMTD
• Communicate clearly in coordinating with infra IT teams to troubleshoot issues, or to perform builds, deployments
• Perform pre-production refreshes using both native MSSQL and EMC Networker\Data Domain technologies
• Ability to work in a in a global team, interacting/coordinating with colleagues across the world to ensure highest levels of service. Must be willing to assume on-call support and off business hours and weekends support
• Mentor junior level DBA's on operational activities, administration, performance tuning issues
• Datacenter Migration, Virtualization, cloud and upgrades
• Automation of daily manual process
• Should be able to handle multiple DR activities for various critical applications

Your background:
As a Database Administrator, you have:


• 3 years database administration experience with minimum 2-3 years MSSQL 2000, 2005, 2008 - also require working DBA experience SQL 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2017 along with TSQL scripting
• 3 years’ experience on HA and DR including Log shipping, mirroring and Always-On technologies, with emphasis on work experience with Windows 2000, 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2019 including on Physical and VM environments
• 3 years’ experience performance tuning, using MSSQL database partitioning, and experience with data Warehouse Databases
• 3 years' experience using backup/recovery tools
• 1 year on snowflake hands on supports
• 2+ years SQL mail experience, including setting up and scripting alerts
• 3 years’ experience in administering MSSQL Active-Active, Active-Passive Cluster, Peer to peer replication and transactional replication, mirroring and log shipping. Also experience on online / offline reorg / re-indexing, Database backups, restores / recovery and Database partitioning
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required

Preferred
• Experience in Mongo and MySQL will be plus
• Monitoring, backup, restore and DR experience
• Certification in Mongo
• Hands on experience on day to day activities database tasks
• Working experience on Windows, Linux and shell scripting
• Master’s degree in computer science or related field preferred
