Morgan Stanley Services Group seeks an Associate, Software Developer, in New York, New York

 

Develop enterprise applications for a diverse set of businesses. Responsible for post-trade functions and standardized data and enterprise-wide services to provide leverage to the Firm’s businesses. Develop applications used by the Firm’s secured funding trading desk within firm’s Bank Resource Management (BRM) division, and the groups that support them. Work closely with the business users of the applications developed to ensure that the applications are developed according to business user specifications. Work across all aspects of the software lifecycle, from requirements gathering, through design, development, unit testing, functional integration testing, deployment and level 3 escalation for production support. The main system serves as a trading platform that books transactional secured financing trades, provides risk analytics to traders, tracks trader positions at an account & product level, and feeds downstream credit, regulatory, firm accounting books and records, and profit and loss (P&L) systems.


Requirements:

 

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field of study and one (1) years of experience in the position offered or one (1) years of experience as a Java Consultant Developer, Software Developer, Technology Analyst, Technology Intern, or related occupation. Requires one (1) years of experience with: Java; Unix/Linux; Spring; Eclipse IDE; relational databases and SQL; SOAP / RESTful webservices; RDMBS tools; Testing frameworks including Mockito or JBehave; Web technologies including JAX-WS, and XML/JSON; and Python. Requires any amount of experience with: Web technologies including CXF and Tomcat; Sybase; DB2; Agile development practices; Hibernate/JPA; Multi-threaded Java programming; Visual Studio; distributed/replicated caches; C++; Perl; version control tools including subversion and perforce; and financial products including securitized products and equities.
