Corporate and Funding Technology is comprised of three primary areas:

Operations & Risk, Corporate and Client Financing.

- Operations & Risk helps the Firm’s businesses while maintaining a strong risk profile. The group includes Operations, Funding, Finance and Risk Technology.
- Corporate improves our operating environment and is made up of Legal, Compliance & Corporate Governance, Digital & Corporate Communications and Human Resources Technology groups.
- Client Financing platforms provide technology and service to our hedge fund and Asia high-net-worth clients. Groups include Prime Brokerage, Private Wealth Management Asia and Counterparty Risk Technology.



Position Description:


The Risk Management department is responsible for monitoring, measuring and communicating risks generated by Morgan Stanley’s business lines. We are looking for a user-interface web developer to build and own the critical technical deliveries of the Firm Risk Management IT team that supports the Risk department.

The ideal candidate will build critical regulatory-related systems using HTML5 and JavaScript frameworks. The candidate will have a proven track of record of building, supporting, and testing web applications with agile methods. The role also requires hands-on experience in building modern web applications using Angular and/or ExtJS JavaScript frameworks.

The developer will also work with Business Analyst / Project Manager, Quality Assurance and end users to ensure high-quality user interfaces in a fast-paced environment. Experience in working with global teams is preferred.

Skills Required:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related majors
- 3+ years of experience in software development
- Hands-on experience in JavaScript framework (Angular, Typescript)
- Problem solving skills for unit testing, test driven development
- Experienced in utilizing standard design patterns
- Strong technical analysis and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated individual and a Team player



Skills Desired:

- Knowledge of front-end technologies such as ExtJS is a huge plus
- Knowledge of mobile app development experience is a huge plus
- Knowledge of UI automated testing is a huge plus
- Knowledge of back-end technologies such as Java is a huge plus

Knowledge of French and English is required.
