Position SummaryThis position develops card shufflers for the casino industry under the Shuffle Master brand. Our products can be found at most casinos throughout the world. These are high quality electro-mechanical devices that ensure a fair and secure game for players and the casino. With every shuffle, card recognition verifies that the deck contains every card that it should, and no extra cards have been added.
The tasks are challenging. We develop new products along with research, design, testing, analysis, production, maintenance, and operation of electrical systems employed in current company product lines. We provide support to and work alongside other engineering groups to create innovative products that best prepare the company to meet future business goals. A desire to learn and expand your knowledge is crucial.
QualificationsEssential Job Functions:

Designs and develops all electrical characteristics of shuffler platforms with primary project leadership duties.

Writes, reviews, interprets, and executes electrical requirements and specifications.

Develop strategic solutions which meet or exceed our quality requirements and fall within our budgetary requirements.

Speaks on behalf of the engineering team on technical matters.

Be a leader within the group as well as within internal and external teams that support our products.

Sets the standard for best practice in engineering and test drives process improvements across the organization.

Understands strategic corporate initiatives and recommends practical technical solutions.

Performs design reviews of electronic designs to ensure signal integrity and EMC compliance.
Training and/or Experience:
-
Seven or more years of experience in the area of design and analysis of digital and microprocessor-based circuits.

Must have practical experience using schematic capture and PCB layout for complex board designs.

Software/firmware development experience a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of Electrical Engineering theory, principles, and procedures.
Ability to ensure proper PCB layout design including analysis of power/ground planes, split planes, EMI, impedance matching, transmission line affects, etc.
Experience in developing digital circuits including microprocessor architecture and programmable logic.
Experience in designing analog circuits including linear voltage regulators, switching regulators analog circuit analysis.
Experience in designing and troubleshooting USB, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, RS232 and RS485 interfaces.
Experience in designing and troubleshooting to strict EMC regulatory requirements including radiated and conducted emissions and susceptibility.
Strong problem-solving skills to identify root cause of issues within complex systems.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or significant equivalent experience.
