    At Freddie Mac, you will do important work to build a better housing finance system and you’ll be part of a team helping to make homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable across the nation.

    Position Overview:

    We provide support to our customers by addressing delinquent loan transaction requests related to loss mitigation workouts, credit losses, non-compliance, and escalations. Our customers are external servicers and internal business partners. We assist in reconciling inventory of non-performing loans but identifying trends and issues around seriously delinquent loans. In addition, recommend solutions and build effective strategies to resolve these issues that ultimately strengthen financial results and overall Servicer/Investor relationships.

    Our Impact:

    Our team’s main responsibility is decisioning non-delegated loss mitigation workout decisions. In addition, the team is responsible for aiding internal/external customers on complex issues, escalations, settlement reviews; that are critical to managing Non-Performing Loans.

    Other work includes, conducting conference calls with Servicers to discuss performance, successes, challenges, and strategies that will increase default performance. Help to strengthen working relationships between internal and external partners. We review and recommend solutions to support workflow improvement, process inefficiencies, provide continuous oversight of internal/external workflows and systems to support operational efficiency. Analyze and research Servicer performance trends (aging, defects, volume, etc..) and review data and report to management for insight progress on goals.

    Your Impact:

    In this role, you will be an integral part of our team and be expected to collaborate with internal and external business partners to address/resolve delinquencies and escalations.

    Manage assigned Servicer non-performing loans portfolio(s) and review and decision exception-based loss mitigation workouts.

    Qualifications:
    • 5-7+ years related experience

    • College degree or equivalent experience preferred.

    • Ability to quickly learn new servicing systems.

    • Servicing knowledge and experience recommended, including but not limited to, Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure/Bankruptcy, and Investor Reporting.

    • Ability to think and work in grey areas making decisions that are not black and white to reduce credit losses.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; customer-facing communication experience

    • Ability to draw conclusions by analyzing large amounts of information.

    • Recommend policy, procedural or technology changes based on role and market experience.

    This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $90,000 - $136,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
