Digital Renewal Sales Specialist

Position Overview

The Digital Renewal Sales Specialist is responsible for a specific set of accounts and drives revenue through subscription renewals by providing post-sales initiatives and guidance to customers who have a direct purchase relationship with Autodesk. Responsible for managing a portfolio of Autodesk customer territory accounts with direct Autodesk purchase history. Interacting directly with customers via phone, email, and virtual meetings, he/she will help customers with direct Autodesk purchase history, promote overall customer satisfaction, product adoption, retention, and renewals mainly in the small business and very small business segment. Partner with Sales on account and territory planning and provide customer health leadership and handle escalations on at-risk customers works directly with customers to complete their purchases of Autodesk products including quoting, online transactions and working with our Client Services department to process customer orders. Responsible for meeting or exceeding annual renewal target assigned a variable commission scheme based annual renewal revenue. Responsibilities - Generating a long-term relationship through direct engagement and pipeline development with the customer - Responsible for achieving renewal revenue goals by managing, building and developing a pipeline of renewal sales opportunities - Prioritize highest opportunity target accounts within an assigned set of accounts and territory - Understand how to lead, discover, and uncover the customer's business challenges specific to their industry - Leverage a solutions-based approach to articulate business workflow and industry trends that impact the customers business challenges - Use people and technology resources appropriately to correctly assess risk of retention for assigned renewal opportunities - Use Salesforce.com to document all customer opportunities and customer activity using embedded probability definitions - Categorize opportunities accordingly to accurately forecast against plans and targets weekly - Work autonomously, leveraging personal sales experiences, personal network, and tools to help the customer reach their business goals with the Autodesk Solutions they own - Monitor customer usage data, health indicators, renewal dates and growth opportunities and translate into strategies for retention - Build strong relationships for business planning with extended teams - Identify opportunities for expanding Autodesk’s business with a customer and transfer the expansion opportunity to the appropriate sales team member for follow up and next steps - Respond to customer inquiries in a professional and prompt manner - Build strong customer relationships for repeat business **The above declarations are not intended to be an “all-inclusive” list of duties and responsibilities of the job described, nor are they intended to be such a listing of the skills and abilities required to do the job. Minimum Qualifications - 4 -6 years relevant experience - Software or technology sales. Must have experience managing pipeline, account management and quota achievement - Experience interacting with clients of all levels, in a variety of industries and across a broad geographical area - Experience managing large portfolio of B2B accounts and accurately forecasting renewal expectations - Ability to forge strong customer relationships and insights over the phone - Ability to prioritize, multi-task and perform effectively under pressure - Collaborative and consultative work style, ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment - Ability to link business processes with product/technical solutions - Deep understanding of customer success and renewal principles approaches and considerations - Experience with complex, escalated customer situations, ability to navigate customer organizations and gain decision maker buy-in - Knowledge of sales best practices and approaches - Strong phone skills required - Strong verbal and written skills required - Experience in the software or SaaS sales or renewals environment - Program or Project Management skills are an asset Preferred Qualifications - Background needs to be in customer facing roles including renewals sales, customer success, account management, or project management - Strong empathy for customers AND passion for revenue and growth - Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with field organizations - Relevant Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required - Experience in managing issues, scope, and quality while bringing areas of responsibility and tasks to completion under strict deadlines - Highly proficient computer skills including Salesforce, email, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - Highly skilled at multi-tasking with the ability to quickly adapt and learn - Ability to think outside the box as needed with an instinct for innovation - Ability to build collaborative relationships within sales as well as sales support to facilitate better customer experience The Ideal Candidate - Successful candidates will possess the following: - Curiosity – someone who wants to learn and is naturally curious - Elevated level of integrity - Self-motivated and driven to high performance - Strong problem-solving abilities - Emotional intelligence exhibited via phone-ability to establish oneself as a trusted adviser for the customer - Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint) - Experience with CRM Software; Salesforce preferred
