We are looking for a talented Industrial Electrician Skilled Trades to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Engine Business Segment in Jamestown, NY. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Troubleshoots, assembles, installs, tests and maintains mechanical systems using all necessary tools to keep equipment available and capable. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment. May work independently and instruct or coach others.
- Performs work in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and specifications using various tools, measuring, and testing instruments.
- Fully proficient performing troubleshooting, mechanical repairs and maintenance of equipment.
- Conforms to applicable codes and standards to maintain, install, and operate electrical systems.
- Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
- Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet production goals.
- Works with peers, skilled trades, and support staff to maintain and identify equipment needing repair.
- Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams.
- Completes training and personal development in line with business requirements.
- Participates actively with local Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.
- Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.
- Manufacturing Knowledge - Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function's needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.

- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
- Responsible for troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining all electrical and mechanical equipment for their assigned area using the necessary tools such as DVMs, Amp clamps, Meggers, Multimeters, etc.
- Knowledge and understanding of the NEC and IEC (National Electrical Code and Industrial Electrical Code) are required, along with training, authorization, and certification in 70E.
- Knowledge and troubleshooting skills of various equipment are required, including, but not limited t,o PLC, HMI, Servo and variable-frequency drives, CNC, automation, robotic controls, AC motoring dynamometers, inverters, transformers, etc.
- PM and WO tasks and failure remarks must be completed in the Maximo system. Uses a systematic approach to solving problems through data gathering and analysis for solutions.
- Must be able to make decisions based on the knowledge of schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, etc.
- Familiar with using various electrical tools and can safely use them 100% of the time to perform quality inspections and/or testing.
- Needs to be flexible within the job scope to complete tasks that reduce or eliminate downtime and may be called on to assist in other areas as needed.
- Provide active training and act as a mentor for the skilled Trades Apprenticeship Program.
