We are seeing a highly motivated and experienced Director of Marketing and Sales Content to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing the overall sales content approach across product marketing to drive business growth and enhance customer engagement.

Essential Functions

Your job scope will require that you:

  • Develop the strategy and define best practices for sales content to accomplish the sales objective (e.g. best video format, best whiteboarding consultative approach, best first call deck format and structure).
  • Collaborate with a broad set of stakeholders across marketing, sales and product to ensure content is regularly created, impact is measured, and the process is improved.
  • Mentor and coach marketing managers across the marketing organization to improve team proficiency at generating amazing sales ready content.

In this role, you will report to the VP of Global Product Marketing, and you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that marketing delivers a steady stream of impactful content to create sales momentum and accelerate sales discussions. You will design and create the content program, mobilize cross-functional peers to achieve implementation and then oversee the regular program enhancements and expansion to develop a world class capability for Visa.

Develop and implement a comprehensive sales content strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives. Create compelling best practices for customer sales content including presentations, white papers, case studies, blogs, and social media posts to engage potential customers and drive sales. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligns with the company's brand voice and style guide. Measure and analyze content performance to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize content strategy. Train and mentor sales team in partnership with sales enablement on effective use of sales content and tools. Stay current with industry trends and competitor activities to ensure our sales content remains relevant and effective. Know and understand Visa clients better than they know themselves, including how they make their buying decisions. Understanding the sales process for various product families to deliver the right materials at the right time to accelerate the sales process and achieve business goals. Providing an expert perspective on sales enablement best practices with a strong point of view on what is possible and what is required.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.


Basic Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • Proven experience in sales content creation and management, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise, technology sales processes and customer journey.
  • Proficiency in content management systems and analytics tools.
  •  Ability to work collaboratively and effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 163,800.00 to 213,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
