ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

You will be overall In-charge of the PFL (Printing Fabric Label) and Woven Production plants. Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of production operations to ensure that: production is planned in a safe manner meeting quality, compliance and quantity requirements; that plant employees are trained and motivated to meet production targets; that the Production Department’s technical capability is developed and geared to compete; that resources are optimally utilized. 


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Ensuring proper planning, close monitoring and execution of production activities, managing resources, maintaining process controls according to the SOPs and AD guidelines and directing the plant teams towards timely delivery of production targets in the most efficient and effective manner. 
  • Responsible for maintaining AD Environmental, Safety, Health standards, Quality and compliance requirements and being the leader of creating the learning culture in plants. 
  • Collaborate with local and global teams and participate in meetings to plan, Implement & manage new technologies & projects in the company.
  • Engage in people development programs in order to motivate, improve technical & soft skills of plant employees. Carry out appraisals & evaluations of subordinates and support in providing personal development plans as and when needed.
  • Exhibit confidence in self and others, inspire and motivate shop floor teams to perform at their best, inspire respect, integrity and trust to build a high performing team. 
  • Ensure plant machinery and equipment are maintained in good condition with all necessary autonomous and planned maintenance activities. Oversee ordering of materials for production and spare parts for machinery 

Qualifications

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Electrical/Production Engineering or NDT with 8-10 years experience in the Apparel  or weaving industry in a managerial capacity. 
  • Proficiency in Production planning and inventory management
  • Knowledge about maintenance activities of weaving  & PFL machines
  • With good leadership, interpersonal skills and team player
  • Leadership abilities to manage and motivate production teams effectively 
  • Good communication skills in both English & Sinhala

Ability to coach and mentor shop floor employees, ability to spot strengths and weaknesses in team members and a methodical approach to work are required.
