Role Overview
As a Sr. Technical Consultant on our Public Sector Services team, you will realize solutions for our customers by working hands-on with our federal, state, and local government customers and partners to solve critically important business challenges using MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform. You provide technical and strategic guidance to MuleSoft implementation projects, evaluate the customer’s technical and functional requirements, and develop efficient solutions to help customers achieve their business transformation goals. Within MuleSoft, you are a thought leader whose voice and actions are essential in growing our overall Services business, team, and culture.
Your Impact
3 months:
Participate in MuleSoft and Salesforce technical product, consulting services, and methodology training
Begin participation in field activities with clients by shadowing seasoned architects/senior consultants
Complete MuleSoft implementation deliverables for customers and start on your journey to internalize business outcomes and business context relevant to MuleSoft implementation methodologies and approaches
Complete MuleSoft technical certifications and fully ramp on technology and implementation methodologies
12 months:
Continue to provide delivery of projects and provide hands-on delivery guidance to influence standards for development, governance, and operational life cycle
Internalize frameworks, project work, standard processes/policies and implementations and vet with Senior Architects to chip in to internal collaboration networks and IP sharing
Identify ongoing risks and struggles throughout project experiences in the field and chip in to define and implement internal mitigation measures to meet customer needs
Contribute to technical brown bag sessions and publish reusable content to the field
Deliver compelling presentations, architectural blueprint documents, and requirements-gathering workshops to influence the strategic direction of our projects and lead customers through solution design
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
Three to six years minimum hands-on development experience implementing integration solutions
Hands-on integration development experience with at least one of the following:
MuleSoft
Other integration solutions (e.g., IBM, BEA, Oracle Fusion, TIBCO, Dell Boomi, Progress Sonic, etc.)
API Management solutions (Apigee, Mashery, etc)
One or more on-premise or SaaS packaged COTS (Commercial Off-the-Shelf) solution for ERP, CRM, e-Commerce, or mobile (e.g. Salesforce.com, NetSuite, Oracle, Siebel, SAP, Workday, etc.)
Experience developing, profiling, and troubleshooting Java application code and automated testing tools
Solid understanding of on-premise and cloud-based infrastructures, SDLC pipelines, configuration, and deployment.
Demonstrated experience with high-availability, fault-tolerance, performance testing and tuning parameters on multiple engagements.
Demonstrated ability to effectively implement solutions within a diverse technical team of client, SIs, contractors, and internal teams
Experience in completing technical design documentation and technical reference materials for client/internal consumption
Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
Prior work experience or desire to work with our Public Sector customers - government agencies, state and local, non-profit, and education
Ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies
Travel may be required up to 50% and varies depending on the client requirements
Qualification for this job is contingent upon acceptable results from a background investigation as well as your obtaining and maintaining the specific level of U.S. Government security clearance that may be required for this role. U.S. citizenship (U.S. born or naturalized) required.

For Colorado-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $114,200 to $157,100. For Washington D.C based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $125,700 to $172,800.For Maryland based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $125,700 to $172,800. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
