Salesforce AppExchange is seeking a dynamic Director of Product Management to lead our next wave of product innovations and shape the future of the world's leading business application marketplace.
As the PM for AppExchange, you will focus on enhancing the AppExchange customer experience and drive product decisions using data insights, instrumentation strategies, and SEO expertise. You will collaborate closely with PMs, engineering teams, and business leaders to define OKRs and KPIs across the AppExchange product portfolio, and lead initiatives to optimize marketplace performance.
Responsibilities
Here's what you'd be doing:
Collaborate with other product managers and leads to define OKRs and KPIs for AppExchange product areas
Be the in-house champion for leveraging analytics for product growth
Advise the team on instrumentation strategy and provide user story-level guidance for analytics implementations in Google Analytics (GA) and Google Tag Manager (GTM)
Provide technical leadership to engineering teams on SEO improvements, ensuring AppExchange content performs optimally on organic search engines
Pull site performance data from GA and Salesforce orgs to identify trends and provide actionable insights for the product team
Identify gaps in product data and recommend strategies to fill those gaps and enhance data accuracy
Own the partner analytics roadmap
Job Requirements
First and foremost:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in technology product management, with a focus on marketplaces or similar domains
Expertise with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for data instrumentation and analytics
Strong technical understanding of web performance and analytics instrumentation
Deep understanding of SEO best practices, technical SEO, and how to provide actionable guidance to engineering teams to drive SEO improvements
A background in driving product innovation through data insights and performance analysis
Experience working cross-functionally with PMs, engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to present complex data insights in a clear, actionable way to executive teams
A sense of humor, and grace under pressure.
A related technical degree required
Preferred qualifications and experiences:
Experience with data clouds (Salesforce Data Cloud, Snowflake, or similar) is a plus
Previous experience in a marketplace environment, whether B2B or B2C is a plus
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, APIs, and enterprise architecture
A Master’s Degree in Data Analytics, Data Science or similar technical proficiency is a plus

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $223,000 to $323,400.
