Job DescriptionYour Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Principal DevSecOps Engineer to join our Software Engineering Practices organization. This internal role is pivotal in providing hands-on coaching and guidance to our software engineering teams, with a strong focus on adopting and integrating DevOps practices.
You will be responsible for:
Provide direct support and mentorship to engineering teams, helping them implement and optimize DevOps practices.
Develop and share best practices for software development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure low-friction adoption and seamless integration of DevOps practices.
Assist teams in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges related to DevOps tools and processes, and software engineering practices.
Conduct training sessions and workshops to upskill team members on DevOps tools and techniques.
Foster a supportive environment, understanding the challenges developers face and providing empathetic guidance.
Lead and coach teams in all aspects of SDLC, including solutioning, designing, testing, securing, and implementing.
The experience you bring:
Minimum of 10 plus years of experience in software engineering and DevOps practices. Experience in software architecture is a plus.
Fundamental knowledge of DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud infrastructure.
Extensive knowledge and experience in software engineering in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, Node.JS, and .Net.
Extensive knowledge and experience with scripting for process automation.
Proven track record of leading and mentoring technical teams.
Strong systems thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Experience with open source and InnerSource software engineering practices, including contributing to and managing open-source projects, and fostering a culture of collaboration and shared code within the organization.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
A Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field is preferred. Relevant fields include Engineering, Business, and Education.
Relevant certifications in DevOps, Agile methodologies, or cloud technologies are a plus.
