As the Senior Brand Marketing Manager, you are responsible for developing the strategy and executing annual commercialization plans to deliver profitable growth for the Nesquik Ready to Drink (RTD) Business. In this role, you will unlock actionable insights to grow brand health, identify and drive an innovation pipeline, lead communications planning & execution, and unlock consumer & customer value. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, and Finance to ensure executional excellence of our annual business plans.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Consumer & Customer Intimacy
- Develop a deep understanding of the demographics, psychographics, occasions, path to purchase, behavioral drivers, and unmet needs of the brand’s consumer through data and research
- Extract actionable consumer and customer insights through data and research to inform strategies.
- Translate insights and commercial priorities into relevant marketing activations.
- Analyze data and synthesize learning into insights to optimize commercial investment decisions.
Business Planning
- Ensure that key business KPIs are met: revenue, profit, market share, and brand health.
- Track sales, consumption, and consumer trends to identify gaps/opportunities during monthly business operating routines.
- Generate concepts, validate with consumers, and identify winning platforms to build a long-term portfolio innovation/renovation pipeline
- Lead the development of strategic revenue management strategies to drive long-term profitable growth for the business including pricing, promo, and price pack architecture (PPA)
- Balance growth platforms between base business and innovation, prioritizing resources effectively.
- Manage brand’s consumer marketing budget and demonstrate efficient and effective investment approach.
Commercial Excellence
- Lead the development and execution of annual marketing plans to address all aspects of the marketing mix – product, price, place & promotion.
- Partner closely with Sales and Category teams to secure distribution and visibility.
- Drive alignment of annual commercial plans, ensuring flawless execution across both large format channels (Grocery, Mass, Club, etc.) and small format channels (Convenience, Drug, etc.).
Brand and Product Experience
- Work with internal teams and external agency partners to develop marketing strategies & plans that increase awareness, household penetration and/or purchase frequency.
- In collaboration with cross-functional teams, lead projects in support of commercializing brand innovation/renovation strategy
- Ensure cultural relevance and consumer engagement in all activations.
- Lead packaging changes due to product, graphic, and/or formula changes.
Talent Management
- Lead by example to motivate and inspire direct report(s) and cross-functional teams to exceed high performance targets
- Actively communicate expectations, provide regular feedback, and build appropriate development plans with direct report(s).
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- University Degree (BA/BS) in Marketing or related business field; or equivalent experience. MBA preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in marketing or brand management
- Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams and or agency partners utilizing strong negotiation and relationship building skills
- Experience leading marketing communication projects including digital and media strategies (demonstrated marketing experience in small format channel/DSD recommended)
- Experience leveraging data, research and trends to generate insights to understand consumer behavior (Circana, IRI, or Nielsen knowledge strongly recommended)
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with the ability to develop creative/non-traditional solutions for challenging, undefined problems
