DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision, the Supply Chain Planner is responsible for planning and maintaining daily supply chain operations across one or more functional areas, including materials, production, inventory, logistics, customer service, demand management, or order fulfillment. This role ensures that both internal and external customer expectations and requirements are consistently met by driving accurate planning signals, mitigating risks, and enabling smooth end-to-end supply chain operation
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily operational planning activities within the assigned functional area to support uninterrupted supply chain operations.
- Develop and implement planning system strategies to improve planning signals across the supply chain.
- Monitor, maintain, and adjust planning parameters within the materials and supply planning systems.
- Use common processes, tools, and information systems to ensure consistent and reliable planning outputs.
- Analyze and interpret Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify gaps, drive corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify potential supply chain risks or failures during the planning process and proactively mitigate associated impacts.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop short-term tactical improvements and ensure alignment.
- Utilize planning systems as the primary tool to drive consistent planning signals and decision-making across the supply chain.
- Participate in functional and cross-functional process improvement teams to enhance supply chain effectiveness and efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Skills and Experience
- 4–6 years of experience in material planning and supply planning roles.
- Strong working knowledge of materials planning systems and supply chain planning processes.
- Proficiency in Excel and Power BI for analysis, reporting, and decision support.
- Experience in monitoring supply and demand plans and resolving planning exceptions through root cause analysis.
- Ability to work with advanced planning and business intelligence tools for inventory optimization and availability decisions.

Functional & Technical Expertise
- Materials Planning System Utilization: Uses materials planning systems as the primary tool to manage supply and demand plans; performs root cause analysis on exception messages and alerts, with limited use of ad-hoc tools such as Excel or BI dashboards.
- Part Change Control Management: Evaluates and implements engineering change requests (e.g., obsolescence, supersessions, new part releases) to meet customer delivery requirements while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Plan for Every Part (PFEP): Applies PFEP principles to ensure delivery of the right part, at the right time, in the right quantity, and at the right location, supporting smooth end-to-end supply chain operations.
- Master Supply Scheduling: Establishes and maintains a valid master production schedule aligned with customer requirements and operational capabilities.
- Material Planning & Analytics: Uses advanced planning tools and BI dashboards to support parts availability decisions, inventory optimization, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Materials KPI Management: Assesses performance against organizational targets, interprets KPI impacts on customers, and balances trade-offs to drive overall supply chain effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
- College, university, or equivalent degree required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or MBA in Operations (B.E / MBA – Operations)
- This is a hybrid role, night shift timing is 5 PM- 2 AM.
