This is a specialized hybrid engineering role designed to evolve over time.
In the short term, you will focus on:
- Administering and improving our internal engineering tools:
- Jira, Confluence, Slack, Google Workspace
- Managing user onboarding/offboarding and permissions
- Supporting engineering teams in troubleshooting issues with Jira & Confluence
- Improving documentation, workflows, and processes
- Implementing automation to simplify repetitive admin requests
- Ensuring the health and reliability of our shared engineering knowledge systems
In the long term, you will grow toward:
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling
- Contributing to our internal platform used across Tink
- Working with technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Datadog, Buildkite, GitHub, Go, Java
- Enhancing platform reliability, observability, and developer experience
- Supporting teams in shipping scalable, secure, high‑quality services
- This role is perfect for someone strong in tooling administration today, who wants to grow into a Developer Productivity / SRE / Platform Engineering path.
What You Will Do:
Tooling Administration & Support (Primary focus initially)
- Own user management workflows across Jira, Confluence, Slack, Google Workspaces
- Troubleshoot issues across these systems and resolve user requests
- Maintain accurate documentation, access structures, and automation scripts
- Manage incoming tickets (Jira ServiceDesk)
Developer Productivity & Platform Engineering (Growth path)
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, internal tools, and automation
- Improve observability and operational excellence (Datadog, metrics, alerting)
- Contribute to platform capabilities used by all engineering teams
- Build infrastructure as code and work within Kubernetes‑based environments
- Help evolve our internal developer platform toward reliability, scale, and efficiency
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or a PhD, OR relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in workstation/tooling support or backend engineering
- Strong experience with Jira, Confluence, Slack, and Google Workspaces
- Experience with onboarding/offboarding workflows
- Automation skills (scripting, APIs, workflow automation)
- Good troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and independently
(You don’t need all of these today — but you should want to grow into them.)
- Backend engineering experience in Java or Go
- Cloud experience (preferably AWS)
- Experience with CI/CD, GitHub, Buildkite, or similar tools
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, or Infrastructure‑as‑Code
- Observability tools (Datadog, logging, metrics)
- Experience with SRE or platform engineering practices
- Familiarity with distributed systems
