Role Summary
A high performing team member with expert knowledge of functional area in multiple domains. Leads issue investigation and remediation for most critical, complex, production service disruptions and/or service enhancement. Drives and leads complex, vaguely defined technical/high impacting projects/initiatives by working cross functionally. Stretches into team leadership based on project/team needs. Acts as a mentor to all analysts. Experience 5+ years for Bachelor's 3+ years for Master's Education
• Leads support of day to day operations in 24x7 production or equivalent environments.
• Provides technical assessments or feedback to individuals and team. • Delivered 4 or more complex, cross functional projects or initiatives.
• Leads investigations and remediations for high impacting, critical service disruptions. Bachelor's degree, Master's degree or equivalent experience. Technical degree preferred. A+ Certification or equivalent AWS Professional AWS Specialty Functional/ Technical Skills
• Gathers pertinent information about a problem by analyzing data and patterns and identifying underlying issues.
• Researches and recommends more detailed solutions to resolve problems and prevent reoccurrence.
• Implements solutions based on advanced knowledge of standard practices and previous experiences; escalates complex or unprecedented issues if needed.
• Broad infrastructure knowledge plus at least one area of expertise.
• Working knowledge of automating infrastructure and configuration management.
• Proficient in configuring or operating cloud infrastructure through automation or code.
• Understands and designs moderately complex systems.
• Has an advanced knowledge of observability and operational tools. May recommend or configure tools for operational use.
• Tests, debugs, and fixes issues within established SLAs.
• Designs easily testable and observable software.
• Has strength in a language, moderate familiarity in other applicable languages.
• Is familiar with data stores or API access patterns and integration.
• Has familiarity with associated technologies within their specialization as part of the wider ecosystem.
• Understands how team goals fit a business need.
• Identifies business problems at the project level and provides solutions.
• Participates in the planning of complex, critical incidents or issue investigations suggesting the appropriate resolution.
• Looks holistically across investigation reports to identify patterns and determine systemic issues to be addressed.
• Drive improvements of major chronic issues or product opportunities through data analysis.
• Partner with Product on roadmap, milestones and execution.
• Determine methods for investigation, reporting, and build out of capabilities.
• Provide analytical support to organizational wide audiences and deliver actionable business insights that lead to further optimization of the business.
• Shapes the business process and protocols for effectively and efficiently diagnosing problems and revealing the root cause.
• Strategically resolves the most complex or unusual problems escalated to this level; guides teams across disciplines to implement effective resolutions.
• Ensures that solutions for complex issues achieve the organizations objectives and standards, providing strategic guidance if an alternative needs to be developed.
• Guides team in the planning of incident or issue investigations, suggesting the appropriate resolution.
• Looks holistically across investigation reports to identify patterns and determine systemic issues to be addressed.
• Leads complex investigations to identify widespread IT support trends and escalates to required resources to partner on implementation of solutions.
• Masters the ability to detect a complex pattern that is hidden in other distracting material to understand opportunities for improving services and/or products.
• Provides analytical support to organization wide audiences and deliver actionable business insights that lead to further optimization of the business.
• Creatively develops tools, visual aids and other original content to support the understanding/education of complex and technical information (e.g., legal, operational risk, and regulatory data).
• Guides others on the best practices and approaches for creating clear, concise and organized communication materials to convey technical concepts in a user-friendly way.
• Challenges others to bring fresh and creative perspective to differentiating technical communications and ensuring comprehension and ease-of-use for various audiences.
• Compiles and reports on major operational or technical initiatives to larger groups, whether via written or oral means.
• Leads collaboration with key stakeholders and contributes subject matter expertise to develop unique solutions to complex issues.
• Enables optimum organizational efficiency by taking a whole systems approach and thinking across boundaries to identify which polices/processes should be standardized and which should differ.
• Provides guidance when evaluating the impacts of a solution to ensure linkages between structure, people, process and technology.
• Uses broad professional experience and deep statistical understanding to predict trends, adopt best practices, and influence long-term strategies.
• Assesses bottlenecks in work processes within teams to streamline and simplify workflows.
• Coordinates with team members to execute new ideas or approaches and achieve process improvement goals.
• Compiles data and analyzes the impact of process changes.
• Fosters a team environment where members are comfortable critiquing and suggesting changes to improve processes.
• Proactively team-up with peers across the organization to build an understanding of cross dependencies and shared problem solving.
• Participates in a community of practice to share and gain knowledge.
