Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience working with Global Mobility programs (immigration, relocation and tax) and/or international personal income tax compliance.
  • 5 years of experience managing and navigating various tax related regimes, programs, and policies within the Asia-Pacific region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in global mobility tax program management experience.
  • Vendor management experience, including large scale, international engagement.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated communication, teamwork and organizational skills.

Our global team optimizes people processes, from problem definition to execution. We partner with teams across People Operations and in engineering to bring innovation and technology to the way we attract, retain and grow Googlers worldwide. As the Global Mobility Tax Program Manager within People Operations, you'll work with a tight-knit global team that manages the end-to-end journey for Googlers or soon-to-be Googlers on the move — balancing employee experience with compliance and program scale. You'll have an opportunity to influence the business, partner for solutions and innovation and grow cross-functional relationships that create a successful environment for the global mobility program's present and future.

You will play a key role in delivering Google’s international mobility tax program. You'll manage service providers, partner and influence cross-functional teams, support complex cases — working closely with other areas of HR and finance. You'll also serve as the main contact for employees for tax questions related to international assignments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead global and strategic management of vendor services and build partnerships with mobility ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Manage tax service provider on all points of execution on international assignment issues.
  • Offer expert guidance on tax risks, compliance for new mobility programs and ensure efficient delivery of high quality tax consultation services to Googlers.
  • Improve tax compliance and governance with better processes, data controls, travel tracking.
  • Handle escalations and exceptions and oversee programmatic, pro-active tax-education initiatives to help mobile Googlers stay tax prepared.
