The Software Product Manager for Dell Cinema will have a broad responsibility of planning Dell Cinema software, which brings cinematic video watching experience for millions of Dell PC users around the world. This person will play a leadership role in identifying and evaluating opportunities, as well as taking future concepts and bringing them to life by defining the right software solutions and leading their development to win in the marketplace. In addition, the candidate will be expected to create customer value by driving insights into unsolved customer problems and define elegant product experiences that would delight Dell customers around the world. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Define product requirements, features and roadmaps, analyzing customer usage and needs, market research data, future technology, competitive threats, Line of Business growth and profitability goals and resource optimization 
  • Responsible for driving products from concept to customer delivery 
  • Responsible for setting the direction for the total customer experience from consideration, purchase, delivery and ownership 
  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance, and operational support load
  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals 
  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners 
  • Develop and present recommendations and analyses to management
  • Drive primary market research to investigate and validate customer needs & wants 
  • Work closely with Engineering, Design and other related teams to ensure a successful product definition and delivery 
  • Able to analyze complex, multi-variable trade-offs to make business case recommendations


  • 5 years of software product management experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience (MBA preferred) 
  • Strong product definition skills 
  • Strong creative, verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong senior leadership level presentation skills and ability to create executive presentation content 
  • Strong financial and business acumen and analytical skills 
  • Advanced organizational agility with the ability to engage and drive projects across multiple teams, levels and regions.
