Minimum qualifications:

  • Experience strategic thought-leader in business development, partnerships, product management, general management, or sales.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA, MS, JD or other advanced degree.
  • Track record in building partnerships in a complex, ambiguous market environment.
  • Ability to lead local and regional teams through complex projects, and build relationships with teams across the company.

Google’s Global Product Partnerships organization works with a wide range of external partners to help build Google products and innovate through product-enabling relationships (e.g. data licensing, content partnerships, API / platform integrations, and technology licensing). Some of the areas GPP enables include: Search, Maps, Local, Play Books/Newsstand, Research & Machine Intelligence, Developer Products, Social Impact, and the Assistant.

In this role, you’ll be an experienced leader to helping us drive business development efforts for the Geo organization. You will report to the Product Partnerships EMEA Lead and work closely with Global Geo Leads in Partnerships, Product, and Engineering teams to help Google grow the Geo business.

You will partner and collaborate closely with Geo Product Leadership to define short, and long-term product and partner strategies, develop go-to-market plans, launch and incubate new products and features, improve existing product offerings, and identify new product-enabling partnership opportunities. Coordinating and working with the Global Product Partnerships team to localize product offerings, you will define regional go-to-market strategies, guide key regional partnership negotiations, and execute complex agreements.

Our team provides meaningful solutions — from helping publishers and developers grow their businesses through monetization solutions, to helping our long-term partners anticipate and navigate change in a way that delivers economic and reputational value. We build and distribute products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Ads, Search & Assistant, Geo, Platforms & Ecosystems, Devices & Services, Health, Retail, Payments, Next Billion Users, and more. We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.

Responsibilities
  • Build and manage a growing and high performing Business Development Team.
  • Shape our product and go-to-market strategy.
  • Lead coordination with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Engineering, Legal, Operations, Finance, gTech, Dev Rel, Marketing, PR/Communications) and other business development teams (e.g., Emerging business development) across Google in order to source, negotiate, and execute complex growth agreements for Google.
  • Build and manage strategic C-Level product relationships (CTO, CPO) with some of Google’s most strategic partners.
  • Determine market needs by partner-class.
