    Position Overview:

    The Securitization department – half of the larger Mortgage Capital Markets department within I&CM – is responsible for issuance and ongoing product management for all Freddie Mac Single Family single class and multi class mortgage-backed securities. The department manages security performance and alignment with Fannie Mae securities, and develops new products and disclosure to meet the needs of the market. Securitization was instrumental in leading and implementing the Uniform Mortgage-Backed Security (UMBS), combining Freddie Mac's and Fannie Mae's $4+ trillion TBA markets in the largest single change to the mortgage securities market in decades.

    Our Impact:

    The Single-Class Issuance team manages all issuance policy and disclosure aspects of our single-class securities. We support the UMBS market, helping investors and dealers understand the characteristics and performance of our securities. We manage new initiatives and product enhancements, and work closely with other internal business areas and divisions as well as Fannie Mae and FHFA. We help ensure that Freddie Mac mortgage securities continue to be highly liquid and consistent investments.

    Your Impact:
    • Understand Freddie Mac’s mortgage-backed securities products and disclosures.
    • Work with investors and dealers to address questions and issues to help them value Freddie Mac securities.
    • Track stakeholder information, discussions and contacts in Salesforce.
    • Support Supers and Giant pricing and creation, as well as investor claim process.
    • Develop product communications and website content and monitors usage.
    • As part of a governance team, implement and executes securitization strategy, tactics, and performance measurements. Address issues and influence securitization behavior as appropriate.
    • Identify and set standards for new securities products, including new policies and disclosure.
    • As part of a team, develop and issue new securities products, including ESG bonds.
    • Recommend changes to policies and establish procedures that affect immediate organization's operation. Work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
    • Present information and analysis, which may include a range of alternatives, to officers and senior leaders to shape decisions and strategies
    Qualifications:
    • 8-10+ years of relevant experience
    • College Degree or equivalent experience, advanced studies/degree preferred
    • Works well independently, as well as across teams, departments and levels
    • Self-motivated, top-performing individual
    • Strong written and verbal communications
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Preferred skills: Mortgage Backed Securities market knowledge
