Senior Java Developer

Job Type: Contract/full-time (C2C, 1099 or W-2)

Duration: 6+ Months maybe longer

Location: Davis, CA (near Sacramento, CA)

Compensation: Open (Negotiable)

Start Date: mid-September

This opportunity is for a Client in Davis, CA (Sacramento) and is open to full-time or contract.

• Experience programming Java web applications using a combination of related technologies including but not limited to: JSP, JSP Custom Tags, HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, Spring Framework.
• Knowledge in computer sciences or related fields demonstrated through education or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Java development tools, using both GUI and command-line interfaces and the discipline of the continuous test and build process: ' Eclipse Java IDE and Web Tools ' Ant ' Maven ' CVS ' SVN.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle.
• Experience with MVC frameworks.
• Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities.
• Strong team player who collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources.
• Strong analytical and strong problem-solving skills
• Communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information and data.
• Exhibits an understanding of the importance of change management.
• Familiarity with service request ticketing systems (e.g. JIRA, Remedy).
• Minimum of 6 years of experience.
