The Social and Creative Media Specialist plays a key role in the management of our global social and creative media channels, strategy, and tools. They are an evangelist for social and digital marketing and understand the purpose and value in developing top-notch creative content. They thrive in a matrixed environment where collaboration with stakeholders drives performance and are a relationship-builder with our marketing and sales teams, and the broader business. They are fueled by curiosity and seek to find, explore, test, analyze, and leverage innovative, clever, and creative solutions to drive external promotion and growth. This role is essential to helping expand our capacity to go faster in digital marketing and is an exciting opportunity to help our teams and our brand become ever more successful.

Key Responsibilities

  • Channel management: Develop and execute social media and digital marketing strategies and tactics to drive global growth. Collaborate with marketeers to regularly identify and test digital media and activation opportunities. Develop insights into audience segments and behavior and design and test engagement experiments. Identify and craft best practices for social and digital marketing. Manage ad spend and promotion of digital campaigns. Analyze media and channel performance and make and act on recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Content creation: Create, edit, publish, and promote engaging content across digital media, including compelling social copy, images, videos, podcasts/auditory media, and more. Regularly identify, test, analyze, and promote new media. Coach others to improve overall media and digital fluency across the business.
  • Internal engagement: Directly engage with and mentor marketing, client management, and sales leaders and team members on media & influencer tactics and behaviors. Develop and provide training and coaching to accelerate social media adoption and leverage as a digital sales methodology.

Essential Skills Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or experience in lieu of education, with 4 years progressive marketing experience in fast-paced, B2B environment, with demonstrated success in leading social media, digital marketing, or external comms programs. Interest or experience in energy or sustainability a plus.



  • Fluency in social, digital, and creative media, with working knowledge of all primary communication formats and channels, including audio and video. Proficiency in marketing technologies and design skills (Canva, InDesign, Adobe Premier, etc.) highly preferred.



  • Position requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, understanding of content & digital marketing principles, ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines simultaneously.



  • Strong project management skills - both analytical (tracking) and interpersonal (convince/promote).



  • Personal qualities such as curiosity, agility, creativity, reliability, detail-orientation, boldness, autonomy, and a sense of humor.



  • Demonstrated experience working in a matrixed organization across a variety of geographies and cultures desired, including experience performing autonomously in remote/virtual environments.



  • Preferred location: Boulder/Denver, CO; Nashville, TN; Louisville, KY. Other US and European locations considered.
