Our regional communications team in Asia is looking for a dedicated Employee and Executive Communications Manager to help manage a wide range of corporate and employee communications activities.  Our mission is simple – to tell stories that help people across this remarkably diverse region fall in love with Microsoft, the things we make, and impact we have in the region. You will join a large, diverse community of professionals focused on innovative communications with opportunities for career growth.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for the employee communications strategy and execution delivered across the region, that can be scalable, localized, and impactful. The role will also develop and support our communications community in the region with tools and content to enable executive thought leadership related to key company priorities. This might include the development of op-eds, blog posts and other storytelling content for executive leaders, including guidance for leaders around key issues.

Responsibilities
  • Develop strategy, planning, creating, managing, executing, and measuring regional, integrated employee & executive communications campaigns and key moments using an optimal mix of engagement vehicles across Asia
  • Ensure employee content and campaigns for Asian subsidiaries are locally relevant, creative, impactful, easy-to-land and easy-to-execute
  • Manage a calendar of key moments, initiatives, and campaigns, aligned to regional priorities
  • Serve as key contact with HQ stakeholders to orchestrate Asia’s participation in global employee campaigns/initiatives
  • Create a best practice sharing repository for Employee & Executive Comms within the region and provide visibility to HQ teams
  • Measure and present results of communication efforts
  • Refine core messaging to ensure organizational consistency in all aspects of communication including development, organizing and education
  • Manage day-to-day project management for agency work for the region and serve as key contact for agency on employee comms related topics
  • Support field on guidance and support around key issues management (i.e.: COVID-19 employee communications)
  • Publishing content on appropriate internal channels
Qualifications
  • Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in communications/PR, ideally developing employee communications/executive communications strategy, strong project management, business background and/or marketing experience
  • Exceptional verbal, spoken and written communications skills with the ability to develop strong networks and relationships
  • Understanding of evolving communications trends impacting employees, as well as external trends and new media formats
  • Current knowledge of digital communications techniques and employee engagement
  • Self-starter, able to drive high volume of work to completion with minimum oversight
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet targeted deadlines in a fast-changing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) with emphasis in journalism, public relations, marketing, or communications is preferred
