Who we are looking for

As our Art Director, you will lead and build world-class visual direction and creative implementation of seasonal, weekly, and daily priorities and projects! Your impact will be felt upstream in Brand & Business planning, and downstream, with Consumer-centric projects.

While a high taste level, entrepreneurial spirit, and rich experience are essential, it’s your outstanding interpersonal skills that will lead to success in this role. You'll be a creative luminary, project leader, and team player—contributing to a positive culture as well as the personal growth of your colleagues. An effective communicator, you’re clear, concise and purposeful, whether rallying people around an idea or delineating logistical specifics. As a collaborative and discerning creative leader, you can constructively intake and problem-solve partner feedback, while preserving the spirit of each project, and the voice and vision of the Studio.

What you will work on
  • Lead a team of visual designers to partner with the Creative Studio Director, Writing Lead, and other creative + marketing teams to power our content mix
  • Uphold and elevate the Jordan Brand’s global 365 visual direction.
  • Deliver best-in-class visual design, photography, & audio-video content in service of the Jordan Brand Creative Studio and Jordan Brand at-large
  • Work strategically to drive brand awareness and deliver strong engagement through results.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with designers, motion artists, photographers, filmmakers, illustrators, and their agents for editorial creative, working strategically with other leads in the business to ensure the strongest approach to external talent.
  • Art direct and lead all aspects of art direction for fashion, editorial, and still-life photo and video shoots, ensuring our content is always on-brand, diverse, contemporary, desirable and within agreed budgets.
  • Keep up to date with emerging trends in fashion, design, film, art, media and technology as relevant to Nike and the design team.
  • Partner effectively with editorial, styling, photography, writing, production, post-production, merchandising and marketing teams throughout the creative process.
  • Help develop the quarterly look and feel through the Nike Lookbook to support merchandising and buy strategies.
  • Ensure all projects are well-planned, creatively outstanding, and delivered timely from planning to post-production.
  • Review project work for highest standards of quality, consistency, accuracy and successful completion.
  • Continually encourage and motivate the team around you, working in a hands-on and highly energetic manner to produce fresh, distinctive, effective imagery through multiple projects and widely varying end uses.
