The LogMeIn Web & Ecommerce department is seeking a Lead Conversion Copywriter to own the creation of copy that simplifies complex concepts into phrases that persuade.

As a part of the Web UX/Content Strategy team, you’ll apply your knowledge of UX, SEO, CRO and persuasion to every task. We're looking for someone who is a visionary and a thought-leader, who looks at the overall content big picture; synthesizing storytelling goals, advertising motions, and business strategy. Researching the audience and writing copy that drives organic search and converts prospects is your bread and butter.

You’re fully versed in the marketing funnel and able to affect positive change in prospect and customer experiences. You’re ready to take on large content initiatives, and establish and champion content development best practices.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the development of compelling, highly-converting copy for Goto.com (and other LogMeIn products’ websites)
  • Take a data-first approach to writing copy; conduct and use Voice of Customer research through methods like customer surveys and interviews, competitive analysis, review mining, and content/usability testing
  • Uncover and apply an understanding of the audience’s position in the marketing funnel  
  • Build cross-functional relationships with:
    • Product Marketing, Demand Gen, and Web Ownership, to understand the audience, initiatives and business goals for our sites
    • UX designers and researchers, to create compelling experiences that bring our products’ best sides to light, and persuade prospects to convert
    • SEO teammates, to develop new opportunities to meet user needs and capture organic search traffic
  • Work alongside the brand team to understand and help develop the brand voice for GoTo. Write copy that tells the portfolio story, and ensure consistent corporate positioning throughout the site
  • Establish content testing strategies for analyzing and refining copy through collaboration with UX researchers
  • Track KPIs to ensure measurable, continuous improvement and the effect of your work
  • Establish processes and identify tools to manage our site content
  • Mentor and guide more junior team members, including copywriters and content strategists

What you’ll need:

  • A portfolio that demonstrates a variety of projects and applications for your writing, and explanations for the research, strategy, and execution involved
  • Proactive attitude toward improving the quality and consistency of writing across a variety of product sites, and skilled at infusing brand tone and voice into every written line
  • Ability to give and accept feedback from stakeholders and colleagues and iterate on work in a rapid process
  • Proven experience organizing and managing work on multiple projects under tight timelines
  • Excellent writing skills that run the gamut of short form marketing copy, UX writing, technical features and benefits, SEO, and everything in between

What we need:

  • BA/BS degree in Communications, Marketing, Writing, or related field – or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience writing copy and developing content for the web
  • A track record and portfolio of great copywriting that tells a brand story, resonates with users and their needs, and meets business requirements and business goals
  • Experience with conversion testing and landing page/funnel optimization
  • Experience writing web marketing content for B2C and/or B2B consumers, SaaS product experience is a plus
