You don’t need to have extensive work experience to be a great fit for this role, but you do need to have a knack for writing, a love of good storytelling, and a strong desire to learn new skills. You will be exposed to all aspects of content production and learn the basics of B2B and B2C marketing.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • You need to be able to express yourself clearly and persuasively in writing and in real-time conversations/presentations with clients.
  • A love of problem solving.
  • Strong desire to learn.
    • You don’t need to be a stats guru, you just need to love using data to inform your work. Similarly, while SEO experience is preferred, it’s not required — if you’re ready to learn the ins and outs of keyword research in order to inform your writing, then we can teach you how.
  • Demonstrated time management skills.


Your work will touch on four key areas:

  1. Content Production/Writing
    • You will be asked to assist with brainstorming, copywriting, and editing across a variety of projects, including but not limited to: webpage copy, whitepapers/reports, blog posts, and email correspondence.
  2. Analytics
    • You’ll be expected to track the performance of content you create using GoogleAnalytics, DataStudio, and Google Sheets. You will use that information to drive improvements for future pieces.
    • You may also be asked to report on and share this information with our internal marketing team and/or clients.
  3. SEO
  • You will be asked to optimize old blog posts and draft new posts in accordance with SEO best practices.
  • You will brainstorm content using SEO research and your understanding of PowerToFly’s target audience.
  • You will manage guest post submissions and handle outreach with partners. (Experience using HARO to build backlinks is a plus!)
  1. Client Relationship Management
    • Last but not least, you will be communicating with our clients on a regular basis to produce content that they can leverage throughout their recruiting processes.
    • You should be comfortable conducting interviews for blog posts and drafting follow-up materials and emails.
