What we are looking for

GA is looking for an AV Engineer to own all AV functions within the organization. We’re a global organization and daily “connectedness” between campus locations is becoming more of a priority.  This will start as a 3-month contract position focused on designing, planning and implementing global AV systems and technology, upgrades, integrations, reporting and automation during a period of hybrid classroom expansion

Primary Responsibilities

  • Act as subject matter expert for the design and support of GA global AV systems
  • Support, maintain and evolve the standards for our core AV technology
  • Work with external/internal teams to design, plan, and implement global upgrades, integrations, reporting, and automation.
  • Communicate status to IT management, support team, and internal partners throughout all phases of AV projects
  • Be a technical point of contact for escalations and work with IT Support Associates/Campus Operations to triage, troubleshoot and handle incidents as needed
  • Enable and support campus events
  • Building, documenting, enforcing AV standards across the organization
  • Make recommendation on ongoing support and processes needed

Who You Are:

  • Evangelist for up-to date, progressive, industry standard AV operations
  • Enjoy documenting and keeping everyone in the loop regarding changes and how it may impact them
  • Can work with multiple stakeholders and can communicate expectations to non-technical parties
  • Defining AV standards and implementing them is in your DNA
  • Love solving problems and simply making things work better


  • 2-4 years experience in AV support and design in a professional environment
  • Available for contract work starting in October through at least December
  • Integration experience with Crestron, Extron, ClearOne and similar technologies
  • Experience programming BiAmp and ClearOne DSP systems for in room audio including the use of beamforming technologies
  • Knowledge and ability to terminate various audio and data connections
  • Experience working with Video Conferencing systems: Chrome for Meetings & Zoom Rooms
  • Understanding of network fundamentals (DHCP, DNS, VLAN, TCP/IP etc)
  • Experience and expertise with evaluating line drawings, signal flow, and core AV concepts
  • Working knowledge of macOS (10.10.x, 10.11.x, 10.12.x), iOS, Windows 10, Android
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Experience reviewing CAD drawings
  • Experience with acoustical room paneling and standards
  • Some travel required to support domestic/global projects
  • Experience budgeting and forecasting AV related projects
  • Ability to lift ~25lbs
