Who We’re Looking For

PromoteIQ is looking for an experienced User Experience Designer to join our fast paced product team.  As the first member of the UX design team, you will drive the vision for first class user experiences and solid design deliverables, including complex workflows, wireframes, hi-fi user interface designs, interaction models, and prototypes. You will be customer obsessed – with retailers and advertisers – and set high standards in developing advertising tools that help them achieve marketing goals.
 
You should have comprehensive understanding of the current state of web technology and best practices, with a critical awareness of implications on user-centered design and functionality. You are detail-oriented, comfortable working on highly technical teams, skilled in using data to make decisions and able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead UX Design for various projects across our product suites, by designing key interactions and workflows; Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications, working closely with developers to see your design through to deployment
  • Relentlessly simplify and distill complex processes into intuitive and elegant UIs; Drive ROI by identifying the most high-impact opportunities for design improvement and aligning user needs with PromoteIQ business goals
  • Work to establish a strong “trifecta” (UX + Product + Engineering) within your project teams, and improve team processes and communication together
  • Plan and conduct user research to inform your work. Utilize qualitative and quantitative methods, and share your findings
  • Lead contributions to our Product Design System / Component Library; Contribute to / drive UX team-led initiatives
  • Communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
  • Define current and target information architecture needed to support product goals
  • Conduct usability studies with internal and external users
  • Research and present competitive user experiences to product team
  • Brief stakeholders on current design trends
  • Manage design assets for engineering
  • Help organization meet Microsoft’s accessibility standards
  • Collaborate with Product owner to uncover and define “Jobs to be Done”
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional experience developing user experiences
  • A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating effective user-centered design solutions with measurable results
  • Understanding of HTML, Javascript and CSS that informs design and interaction decisions
  • Skilled in wireframing and prototyping software
  • Desire to work in a start-up style environment, where iteration is encouraged
  • Visual design acumen demonstrated through owning product design end-to-end
  • Proven ability to work cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from business leaders, product management, and engineering (working directly with developers for implementation of designs)
  • Experience designing for a B2B SaaS product or digital advertising solutions or enterprise products
  • Experience with designing products for global markets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
  • Leadership skills that enable you to drive projects independently and successfully, and gain stakeholder confidence
  • Curiosity and motivation to dig into the details in order to fully understand and improve upon a very technical, complex, and constantly evolving problem space
  • Ability to ideate rapidly and creatively. A willingness to discard or revisit ideas that aren’t working. A laser focus on making measurable impact interactive experiences with prototyping software; Ability to incorporate existing design standards effectively, while also approaching novel problems creatively
