As a Technical Recruiter in SendGrid’s Redwood City office, you’ll join a Recruiting team that is passionate about helping SendGrid scale with amazing talent.  You’ll partner with hiring managers in Engineering to help ensure we’re building the right team to develop industry-changing technology and products.  You’ll be able to leverage your network and knowledge of the Bay Area market to share SendGrid’s story with the area’s top Engineers.  You’ll be our feet on the ground, representing SendGrid with integrity and professionalism (and fun!) in the local tech and recruiting communities, including attending relevant user groups and meetups. And you’ll obsess about and deliver a candidate experience that demonstrates why SendGrid was just named a 2018 Best Place to Work by Glassdoor.  

What You’ll Do

  • Live by and champion our cultural values of Happy, Hungry, Honest, and Humble
  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for a variety of Engineering roles, from qualification to close, you’ll ensure we hire the best both technically and culturally (culture is our code).
  • Serve as an integrative, highly collaborative recruiting SME to guide and support our hiring managers and interview teams
  • Partner closely with your peers on the recruiting team and cross-functional stakeholders to build innovative processes to attract and retain exceptional talent
  • Serving as the primary PeopleOps contact in our Redwood City office, you’ll partner with other teams within PeopleOps to support a variety of talent initiatives

About You

  • You are passionate about recruiting, and have successfully helped Bay Area technology companies scale
  • You’ve been recruiting technical talent in a full lifecycle role for at least four years, with a clear understanding of software development technologies, roles and processes
  • You develop strong relationships with hiring managers, and understand that your success is built on collaborative, effective partnerships
  • You are a strategic thinker that understands how your work impacts business objectives
  • You love the challenge of the hunt, knowing your success in a search iis built on extensive sourcing of passive candidates
  • You have experience using a multitude of recruiting and sourcing technologies
  • Your passion for recruiting extends to an interest in broader talent and HR initiatives
