Deloitte’s Strategic Cost Transformation falls within the Strategic Growth Transformation market offering which focuses on structural, enterprise-wide changes that can produce sustainable cost savings and margin improvements. In doing so, we strive to help our clients build scalable cost platforms to drive profitable growth. Based on extensive experience with cost improvement programs across industries, we offer three broad cost reduction strategies that help our clients focus on cost categories tailored to the specific cost challenges at hand.
Work you’ll do
Focus on immediate actions to reduce costs, bring stability, and capture savings to avoid further deterioration of the business. You along with team will take action to sustain business to set the stage for growth. As a Manager, you will lead and deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions for large companies. Manager level responsibilities include: providing service excellence by identifying key client business issues, determining client needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches, evaluating and validating analysis and developing recommendations for the client in the context of the overall engagement. You will be expected to implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance. Managers participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities. You will have the opportunity to lead small engagements or components of large, complex engagements.
Our strategy practice brings together several key capabilities that will allow us to architect integrated programs that transform our clients’ businesses, including Corporate & Business Unit Strategy, Technology Strategy & Insights, Enterprise Model Design, Enterprise Cloud Strategy and Business Transformation.
Strategy professionals will serve as trusted advisors to our clients, working with them to make clear data-driven choices about where to play and how to win in order to drive growth and enterprise value.
Strategy will help our clients:
Identify strategies for growth and value creation
Develop the appropriate business models, operating models, and capabilities to support their strategic vision
Maximize the ROI on technology investments and leverage technology and Cloud trends to architect future business strategies
6+ years of experience with management consulting in operations improvement, transformation, merger and integration, or business process reengineering
Experience in financial analysis and working with data inputs from multiple sources
Experience with developing models using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visual Basic, or other tools (Tableau)
Experience working with senior executives to develop, define and execute cost reduction strategies with Fortune 500 companies
Experience in delivering global, organizational cost improvement / transformation strategies
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Possess ability to influence others and lead team
Ability to travel 80-100%
Ability to work independently, manage small engagements or parts of large engagements.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
Willingness to mentor junior staff.
An advanced degree is preferred
- Experience and understanding with robotic process automation, including vendors such as Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, etc.
- Familiarity with information technologies and platforms: such as legacy ERP, cloud software services, and customer services applications.
- Experience with analytics to evaluate and optimize business processes
